How does it work?
Haier hybrid Heatpump
This animation shows a process of extracting energy from a low ambient temperature (evaporator) using a 'clever trick'. The refrigerant carries this energy and is pressed by the compressor to a higher pressure, which increases the temperature.
When the temperature is higher than the desired level, the energy can be released to the delivery system (condenser). Then an expansion valve reduces the pressure of the refrigerant, causing the temperature to drop below that of the source to absorb energy again.
In summary: Source + Compressor = Heat output.
